Michel Glower, MAI, MRICS, PhD, LEED O+M

Michel Glower has been involved in real estate for more than 30 years, with many years of experience in housing and financial research in academic and government-related settings. Dr. Glower earned her PhD in Real Estate from the Ohio State University. She also holds an MBA in Finance and undergraduate degrees in Real Estate and Accounting, also from Ohio State. After consulting and teaching investment valuation issues, Dr. Glower now integrates theory into real-world application, practicing commercial valuation and consulting in the northeastern United States. She holds general appraisal certifications in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Florida, and holds a real estate sales license in Pennsylvania. Dr. Glower is a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.

As a commercial appraiser, Dr. Glower has experience in market studies, feasibility studies and valuations of special use properties including correctional facilities, ducational facilities, religious facilities, hospitals, and surgery centers. She performs market studies, feasibility studies, and commercial appraisals of office, industrial, multifamily, retail, and mixed use properties. Dr. Glower holds an Argus certification and is also an experienced reviewer of commercial valuations.

Dr. Glower is active with the Appraisal Institute, serving as the 2015 President of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, and also as the Education Liaison for Region VI of the Appraisal Institute. She serves on the International Relations Committee of the Appraisal Institute. Dr. Glower is a LEED-AP, O+M and is active in the Lehigh Valley branch of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council. She is an instructor for continuing education, and is an external advisor for Lehigh University Practicum projects. She is a long-time member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). Dr. Glower is on the Board of Directors of Child Care Information Services and serves on the Land Acquisition Committee of Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley. She enjoys teaching and is a member of the Real Estate Educators Association.
